Home on Mondays: Switched to Washable Filters

The plumbing fixes we had made are working well. It got tested with heavy rain and the frequent water interruptions. Rod finally came to check the water filter he installed. It's supposed to help clean the water before it goes in the tank. The initially installed a disposable filter to see how dirty it would get. Here's how it looks after a month -

It is advised to change disposable filters monthly. Each filter costs approximately PhP600+. It would be expensive to change monthly. Washable filters cost about PhP800+ each and can be used for up to five months. All you need is to wash it down with a hose. We'll be able to save a lot with washable filters. Yay!

The set-up has worked well for us and I like the safety precaution features of the pump we use. I was worried we'd have to pay a lot just to get our tank cleaned regularly. Mom had an underground tank and that was really hard to manage. Aside from getting a good pump, also make sure to work with a master plumber to ensure your safety. Thanks Rod and team for the amazing work!
