Thank You (Toblerone)

Last night after attending the DOT bloggers briefing I shimmied over to Duty Free to check out Toblerone's Thank You Day launch for the Global Pinoy. I thought I'd just stay for a few minutes, get some Toblerone and then head home.

But...

As I walked towards the event area I heard a familiar voice. They were singing a True Faith song. I told myself that I wish it was Medwin Marfil of True Faith singing because they are my most favorite Filipino band. I immediately walked towards the stage and lo and behold it was indeed True Faith! I must have stood immobile for a few minutes (fan girl mode!) until I managed to tear myself away to look for Juned. Haha.

Anyway, so the celebration at Duty Free last night was to thank the Global Pinoy who continue to sacrifice for their families.  And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those Pinoys who have sacrificed being away from their families just to be able to provide better lives for them. I do hope and pray that you can come home soon.

And thank you Toblerone and GMCI for getting True Faith! Haha. You definitely made me smile last night. (Sorry Medwin, I was on fan girl mode. Can't help it since I've been your fan for about 15 years now! Haha.)

Thank You Day

Today is National Thank You day, so I am just posting this note to say thank you to my family, my friends, colleagues, business contacts, acquaintances etc. who have been there for me through thick and thin, through happy times, through emo times, crazy times.

And thank you to Toblerone for the wonderful yummy cake and chocolates. You have endeared my Mom endlessly since she is a sweet tooth, and me, poor little me, I have been allergic to chocolates for 8 months now, BUT, that doesn't stop me from munching tiny portions here and there.

Be content and be thankful about everything you have. So how do you spread the sweetness of gratitude? Say thank you to your loved ones creatively by posting a photo in your blog/social networking site. Let me know about it by leaving a comment below with the URL to your post. I will then choose 5 readers who'll get Toblerone TY kits. You have until November 10 to submit your entries. Complete mechanics can be found here. (For GMA residents only.)

Thank You!

There is much to be thankful for. Every single day we get a lot of blessings and counting them is my secret weapon whenever I am in a rut, miserable or having a blah day. And I read somewhere in Twitter last week that one of things you should do to be happy is not complain. I definitely agree with that.

Instead of grumbling about having work on a holiday, be thankful that you have work.

Instead of complaining about heavy traffic, be thankful that you are safe and sound in your mode of transportation and not mangled in a hospital.

Instead of being mad at your Mom for not allowing you to go out on a trip, be thankful that you have a Mom who cares about you.

Instead of wanting money to buy expensive things, be thankful that you can live simply.

You have until October 16 to submit your entries. Complete mechanics can be found here. (For GMA residents only.)

Here's what I did two years ago for the Toblerone Thank You Day.

Must have chocolates! Sali na! Nomnomnomnom.

Thank You and a Wedding

I don't know what got into me, when I got home from the wedding (more of that below) I was quite hyperactive (despite the fact that I could barely walk) and thought that since I was all dolled up to try out doing a video. So in honor of the Toblerone Thank You concert I missed tonight, here's my little thank you video experiment. (I just used my webcam on my almost 3-year old PC with no editing).

And some of you might have followed my Twits today about going to a wedding. Yup! The Twisted Wedding Planner strikes yet again! I did not do a full coordination this time coz I've been so busy, so I just basically helped out for the wedding and gave the bride, my friend Mabel, some tips. Are you in love? Planning to get married? Wishing you were engaged? Or just plain mushy? Visit the Twisted Wedding Planner for a dose of wedding stew. (I'll blog more about Mabel's wedding at TWP).

And what's with the update on the "When God Writes Your Love Story"? Read about the reason behind that kilig smile in the video.
