Found Some Dalandan, Made Spanish Chicken Adobo

I made Spanish Chicken adobo whenever we buy dalandan. It's always a big hit and I remember Tito Mon would hide it when I bring it for parties at home, haha. We bought some dalandan in Tagaytay a few weeks ago and I immediately planned to make some Spanish Chicken Adobo.

Full recipe is on my recipe blog: https://recipesformyson.blogspot.com/2026/07/recipes-for-my-son-spanish-chicken-adobo.html

Here's how I made it (this time, Miggy did the cooking coz that's how we roll nowadays):

Easy to Cook Chicken Adobo

One of the first dishes I learned to cook after I married is chicken adobo. I had several friends who showed them their technique. Gerry Alanguilan, the Komikero, Roni (a friend's ex hehe) and I watched a couple of videos. I've cooked it a lot of times I can make it now while asleep haha.

Here's the recipe:

1 kg. chicken
1 tsp black peppercorn
2-3 bay leaves 2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup vinegar
2 cups water (add when you start cooking)

Mix everything except water. Marinate for 3 hours or overnight in the fridge.
Transfer to a pot and add 2 cups of water. Cook for 30 minutes.
Do not mix until it boils!
Lower heat and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
