The pesky ants haven't left our home. We managed to ward off a huge amount of them with a mix of homemade and store bought insect repellant. We realized that you need different solutions for different ant varieties. We got most of them, but a particular set of ants destroyed our brand new split type aircon. Good thing it's still under warranty, so the service center changed the mother board at no cost. Whew!
Just realized we've been in our new home for four months now. The hot summer season forced us to find a cooler space to stay during the afternoons. We fixed up my craft room and it's been the perfect spot in the afternoons.
I was stuck in the bedroom since I got my booster shot. Finally got out today and stayed in the basement. I also checked out my plants and saw they've been happy with the rain. I'll have to find the energy to re-pot some of the veggies to allow them to grow more.
We were sad to find out after the heavy rain from the past few days that the chicks were gone. Miggy thinks it's due to a predator (likely a cat). They were yellow vented bulbuls and we're really sad they didn't survive. Miggy said that those birds produce chicks thrice a year, so we'll see if they make more in July.
Four months in our new home. Four months of new memories. It's a new quarter, let's see where the hot summer months bring us. We were hoping to do a day trip to Tagaytay, but with the recent phreatomagmatic eruptions we decided to delay it. Maybe we'll go North, we'll see :)
