One Second Everyday: March 2025

It's almost the end of April and I forgot (again) to post my one second everyday video. We spent most of the month at home. We worked on sorting Mom's stuff. We just went out to get supplies.

A second a day isn't that much, but it gives a good glimpse of what happens everyday. Completed a full quarter, so I hope to complete the whole year again!

Sweltering

The heat has been sweltering the past few days and I know it will get worse. We all stay indoors most of the day and the cats usually sleep after eating breakfast.

At least it gets a bit windy before sunset and that's the time I do outdoor activities. The cats usually only wake up when I go out to water the plants.

I was unstable yesterday, so I made up by being productive today. I finished sorting the boxes Sweetie lined up for me, watered the plants and organized the plant rack I transferred to the garden.

A naughty caterpillar ate all the leaves of my calamansi plant, so I had to spray Neem oil across all the plants they love to eat. The calamansi plant should recover in a month or two. Sigh. After gardening I laundered some of Mom's estado. I hope to finish all of it in two weeks (a little a day).

Whew! Did a lot, so it's time for me to rest :)

Yeh! Friday

I wasn't able to attend pulmo rehab again. I was a bit feverish when I woke up. Rested more and remembered that I needed to pick up something at the barangay hall. Quickly ate, drank meds and Sweetie accompanied me to the barangay hall.

Since we were already out, I asked Sweetie if we could buy some bread. We ended up at the main entryway to our area. It's easier to park there, plus there's a couple of food stalls available in the area.

Well, aside from buying bread we ended up getting rice meals at Binalot. It's been a long time since I had some bongga longganisa. Sweetie got his favorite tapa walastik and Miggy had Vivo tocino. I still remember when Binalot had a contest to name their food and I suggested bongga longganisa (haha). Binalot also saw us through our first month as a newlywed since we were still learning how to cook.

I noticed the group of stalls next to Binalot, Potato Corner, Henlin and Infinitea. I told Sweetie we should get some fries to surprise Miggy. Oh boy, it's really been a long time since I had Potato Corner. I made a dent on the pasalubong on the way home! Haha!

And that's today's adventure. I have to keep moving while I can. Which reminds me I need to clean my spirometer. My doctor required me to use it hourly. Gasp!

Throwback Thursday: One Second Everyday | February 2023

February was a much better month than January. It went by so quickly though and has been the busiest month for me. I say busy because I was able to move more, but I still had a lot of bad days. Needless to say, I'm happy i was able to be more productive.

Here's a short highlights video of my month -

The highlight for the month was Sweetie's Valentine surprise. He brought me and Miggy to Nuvali to have lunch at Amare La Cucina. It was a joyous occasion because the last time we ate at Amare was during their soft opening in Baguio many, many years ago. I've wanted to try their pizza again for a long time now, so the surprise was a happy one. We were also finally able to visit Landmark again on the same day (not our usual branch though).

I rarely go out and it sometimes takes weeks before I get to go out again. I'm content when we go on a joyride around the park to spin Pokestops. Still need to be cautious since I'm immunocompromised. I've made it part of my Lenten 40-day challenge to go out at least once a week. That way I can move around more. So I'm really grateful we were able to go out almost weekly in February. I think that has helped me generate more steps at home. Yay!

March is here now and the biggest challenge would be the change in the weather. We need to make a few adjustments at home to keep the temperature down. Hopefully Architect Wansi and his team can squeeze it in their busy schedule because I don't want to be stuck in the bedroom all summer!

Let's all make March a grateful month!
