Big Bad Wolf 2025

I was surprised when the boys easily agreed to my request to go to Big Bad Wolf in Alabang. We went last year and enjoyed being surrounded by a lot of books. I have a short video of our visit last year here.

It was raining hard when we went last year and with typhoon Paolo (Matmo) we weren't sure if it was safe to go. We repeatedly checked the forecast and decided to go since we had other errands to do.

Minus the food area, the whole tent was full of books even at the entrance. Almost half though we're children's books, about 35-40% fiction and the rest were general/nonfiction and Filipino books. The hobby books were negligible. I only found one book on quilting. Oh well, I guess they deemed we're not the market for it.

Nonetheless, it was still enjoyable. Who doesn't enjoy walking around a bookstore. It's like Disneyland for me. We got a couple of books, a few Christmas gifts and some activity books for a little boy we've been supplying books to monthly.

Big Bad Wolf Alabang runs until October 13, 2025 at the Filinvest Tent.

PS if you're going around on a wheelchair, just watch out for the big cables taped to the floor.

Booksale!

When we went out the other day, we dropped by Booksale. It's good exercise to walk from building C to building A to visit our favorite bookstore.

They didn't have any quilt books, but I managed to get a couple of books which I need for future planning. The staff said the books that arrived for the week were cookbooks. Oh! But Sweetie found a rare Whitney Houston piano book! It was only PhP20!

Miggy didn't find anything he wanted so I followed him after paying for the books I got. Sweetie usually takes longer since he also looks for books for Dad to read.

Will go back soon!

Got 9 Books for Just PhP2--!

We have made it a point to visit Booksale at least one to two times a month. We want to make sure (in our own little way) that the branch near us stays open.

We buy books not just for us, but to give as gifts especially for kids. It will help cultivate the love for reading and stretch the imagination of young minds. I'm lucky because Miggy loves reading. We always visit bookstores whenever we're out.

Visited Booksale again today and we each got a couple of books. We only paid PhP265 for 9 books. My craft books were just 15 to 35 each. Miggy's fiction books only cost 35 and 50 pesos. Not bad noh?
