Ugh, Slight Fever

Ugh, whatever's bugging me is trying to get me again. I just rested, watered the plants and hung out with the cats. Sweetie took my temp and I have slight fever again. I can't afford to be sick. Grrrr.

Anyway, here's Meredith and Anakin today. They were super sweethearts and waited patiently for their wet food.

Signs of Old Age

I probably went beyond my quota last Monday when we went to Ikea. 

My whole body hurts and I have been having fever on and off. I did a test, so it's not COVID-19. Whew! Just probably over fatigued.

Spent the Day at the Hospital

Thank you Lord I wasn't warded today. My doctor said I was wheezing during my check-up, so for the first time I was asked to buy my own nebulizer.

I'm waiting for my doctor to review the x-ray results, so I have to chill and rest for now.

Unwell Again

I started having back pain that reminded me of what I felt before I had my second PE in 2021. It's been bothersome so I'm going to see my pulmo tomorrow.

Hopefully it's nothing serious 🙏

*On the brighter side, Meredith has reclaimed her throne. I got her a fluffy bed, a cot, a house and boxes, but she really prefers the bamboo throne. She stormed out when we removed it for awhile. We'll let her be.

Not Getting Better

It feels strange that I haven't gotten better. The sore throat is almost gone, but my temperature is still high. I read that if you have fever at 39.4'C for more than two days you should go to the hospital already. If things don't get better I'll ask the boys to bring me to the ER.

Still Sick

I felt a wee bit better but I still had high fever off and on. I just slept most of the day and hope the meds do their magic.

High Fever

High fever continued today. My temperature reached 39.7'C. I did an e-consultation and was given antibiotics.

Revenge of the Fifth

I wore a Darth Vader short today. Alas, it's been a bad day since I came down with fever. It went down for awhile, but now it's at 38.5'C. 

Not sure what I picked up. I only went out once this week to purchase my maintenance meds. I woke up with slight fever and then it progressed throughout the day.

Just going to rest for now. I'll do a teleconsult if things go worse. Hopefully not.

Still Sick

Just had slight fever today, but still feeling weird. The boys have forced me to rest. Will probably be absent for pulmo rehab tomorrow since I'm still unwell. I must have picked up something from a visitor last weekend. Boo. :(

Warrior

It took awhile for the doctors to figure out what brought me down. A lot of doctors interviewed me at the ER and even when I was admitted. Final diagnosis was tonsillopharyngitis. I remember I had it when I was five years old. You don't forget the pain. That's probably why I remember.

I'm finally home now and will have to rest to recover properly. Doctor said it might take two weeks, then I have to see them for a check up. Strangely my antibiotics was stopped, probably because I've been having side effects from it. I'm also glad the steroids was immediately discontinued. I don't like taking it since the effects last two to three months when you wean away from it. 

My friend Rose said, "This too shall pass." Indeed, it will and I have to take better care of myself so I caught fight back the germs whenever we go out. That's the life of an immunocompromised person. It's a constant battle to be stable.

I Held Up for 2 Years

It's been two years since we got home from Singapore. I told myself I'll try my best not to be hospitalized. I had a few skirmishes, but I generally just recovered at home.

It finally happened. My tonsils inflamed. It hasn't happened in a long time now since my doctor's in Singapore how to prevent it.

I was five the last time I had this kind of pain. It must have been caused by the heat, dehydration, and the dust from decluttering. What did me in? A slice of chocolate cake last Friday night.

Woke up in pain. I couldn't swallow so I gargled warm water with salt. It relieved me a bit so I decided to do an online consult. Ordered my meds online too. After awhile I started having unimaginable chills. Drank paracetamol and the chills died down after 40 minutes. By then the boys decided to bring me to the ER.

And that's how we ended up in the hospital after two years. They're taking care of me very well and Kuya even got to stay awhile. Please pray for me and I hope I'll be home soon.
