Wheelchair Lakwatsa

I've been cooped up at home and have been missing going to Booksale. The boys agreed since they also wanted to visit Booksale.

We got lucky since it stopped raining by lunch time. It was my first time to be wheeled around the mall. We didn't have a good experience at One Bonifacio, the elevator wasn't aligned with the floor. The wheel of my wheelchair kept getting stuck. We had an easier time at SM Bicutan for both their older and newer elevators. 

We limited our outing to just eating lunch and going to Booksale. I didn't want the boys to have a hard time maneuvering me around. It was a weekday, so the mall crowd was manageable. 

I wanted to avoid using the toilet, but I drank a lot. French Bakery has a toilet for customers. We passed by to buy monay, but ended up get a slice of cake because of my bladder, haha. With my business done, we were able to check out the newly opened Pepper Lunch and got some ice cream from Dairy Queen. 

It was a good day to hang out in the mall. We were able to have a good meal and visit Booksale. I insisted on it so I can move around more in preparation for some tests I need to do. It's annoying to be semi-immobile and I can't wait to be back to my normal state.

After the Movie

After watching "Ex Ex Lovers", Sweetie and I decided to eat at Nanyang. I had my usual, cheesy noodles and iced teh. Sweetie had congee and coffee.

We decided to walk off what we are and went to the other building to buy bread and, of course, drop by Booksale. The staff recognized us already since we've been visiting almost every week. They're doing a clearance sale this week, so make sure to visit!

On the way back to the car we bumped into Fitz and Din. We hang out for a bit since we haven't seen them for awhile now. It was fun since we only "feel" them when we see their Pokemon in gyms (haha). Maybe we can have a reunion soon with our blogger friends.

Lakwatsera Fridays: London

I was able to visit London a few times. I didn't get to see much of it because it was always wintertime whenever I went. It was always too cold for me. I was able to walk around once and chanced upon an event at Buckingham Palace. I didn't see the queen, but there was definitely an event because there were a lot of people outside the gates waiting for something. 

All I was able to do that day was observe the crowd and admire the palace and the statues around it. I was bummed though I didn't get to see the London Bridge. As a child it's one of the nursery songs we used to sing and I was really curious to see it in person. Alas, I didn't have time since I was busy with work. 

Well, I also wanted to save sightseeing with my family. I just felt it wasn't right for me to do lakwatsa while on a business trip. The most I'd do is go grocery shopping and get takeaway after work, haha. I also always rushed home before the weekend to be with my boys. London though was challenging for me because of the weather, so maybe a future trip should be done when it's summer.

And, oh, I didn't get to see Platform 9 3/4ths too. Bummer.
